TO BOB history
To Bob was originally formed for our own entertainment , born in a West end Studio on one wet afternoon in 2002. After the very first song we jammed together we all knew this was a magic line-up whom played with emotion, feeling and most important of all we sounded like Dylan with the band. So we decided to go on the road to check out the reception and share our new found sound of the Bob's with other Dylan fans. After two supports at the Astoria and about ten pub gigs we were asked to play at a Xmas party for a top Music Company, this show was filmed live and parts of that performance can be seen on this. Every body that saw the band that night advised us to go professional. We decided to give the band a chance as a Dylan tribute band. To Bob was born.
TO BOB The Band
To Bob is made up with respected musicians from various bands. The five piece lineup consisting of our 'Bob on lead vocals, acoustic guitar and harp', 'two top guitarist' and 'bass guitar' and 'drums'.The outfit have been playing together as To Bob for over 3 years, and have cut a live Cd and Dvd. Bob Dylan himself gave the band the thumbs up when he took time out during the build up to his 2005 London concert in Finsrbury Park. Bob checked out the band performing opposite his concert in Finsbury park at the Blackstock tavern, he was tipped off by one of his sound crew, he was on his way to the show when he overheard familiar songs. Checking out that it was not the Dylan band moonlighting he entered the Pub to find To Bob playing. The band only found out about the visit after the landlord passed on five free passes for the show, left by Bob's Sound / Crew guy, with a message , "I seen your's so come on over and see how it done for real " Bob. Who else can give you a better reference that the Man who you are a tribute too.

birthday party or any other occasion. The live set is up to 90mins of Bob Dylan's repertoire performed by Top Musicians
with just acoustic Guitars and a harmonica.
To Bob unplugged is ideal for any size venue, bar or room with a 13amp output for the PA or can be totally unplugged with just acoustics no PA.
