A unique Rock & Roll Bob Dylan tribute band, To Bob is well on its way to success in the UK, with plans for Europe, the States and then, well, who knows?
TO Bob's first live performance was at the London Astoria, a venue more usually the preserve of established bands at the peak of success, where they were the opening act for Wishbone Ash. Within only a few weeks they were back at the Astoria, this time as the support for Iron Butterfly, where they recorded the live CD, "To Bob Bits Volume 1" .
Since To Bob formed the band has played many shows up and down the country. While the venues vary, from Music biz parties, festivals and ballrooms to clubs and pubs, the response is always the same. Crowds love Dylan's songs played the To Bob way. They never want us to stop playing and we have always been asked back.
Originally formed as 'a bit of fun' for a one-off private music-biz party, "John Henrys Christmas party where the live DVD 'Live in London' was recorded" it was clear from the outset that To Bob had something special. Thankfully the reaction of our first audience (Top musicians and music biz directors) confirmed what we as a band had realised on the occasion of To Bob's first rehearsal, To Bob rocks!
The line-up today is the same as it was on the first rehearsal, which is why every time To Bob play, no matter the occasion, the magic we felt from the very first time we jammed together is always there.

The special line-up that plays with the To Bob band is -
The two top session guitarist that gives To Bob that Faces / Stones sound are
Darrel Bath (ex Ian Hunter & Dogs D'amour) Guitar / Slide guitar;
Ronny Rocka (ex Godfathers & Angelic Upstarts) Guitar;
Mick English (ex Splodge) Bass Guitar;
French Dave from King Kurt on the Drums completes T.B. rhythm section.
Last but not least we have our own 'Bob Dylan';

Dave Eton on lead vocals / harmonica and acoustic guitar;
A life time Dylan fan, he's busked around the world playing guitar and harmonica for years.
All of the T.B. band members are respected musicians in their own right.
The band never planned on marketing T.B. as 'Bob Dylan with the Stones as the band', but everyone keeps telling us that's what we sound like. We have been told many times of the similarity of To Bob and Bob Dylan's live performances and we have tried to catch the vibe of Bob Dylan's live performances at his best period during the late 60s early 70s? That is for the crowd to decide but To Bob are most defiantly cheaper and more likely to play at your local venue. The one sure think is -
To Bob is a great live band

Most of Bob's shows are in a big stadiums with a ticket price just as big, this is where To Bob comes in, same songs, same vibe, same sound.
Only at your local Venue for one faction of the price and most important of them all one hell of a great show and every one is happy.

TO BOB was originally formed for our own entertainment in an West end Studio, on one wet afternoon. Against all odds the first line-up we put together is to this day the only one. The first song we jammed together and we all knew this was a magic line-up, we played with emotion & feeling and it would be very Selfish to keep To Bob to our self and not share the sound of TO BOB with all music and Dylan fans. So we decided to take the band on the road to see the reception and after two supports at the Astoria and about ten pub gigs we were asked to play At the Xmas party for top Music Company. Every body who saw the band that night advised us to go professional, as we are mostly pro-musicians and we would rather play music we like than a hired musician going through the motions. We decided to give TO BOB a go as a Dylan tribute band.

TO BOB is not just a tribute to Dylan alone our sound is developed naturally into a cross between the Stones/ Faces/with 100s of other influences . And with all of us being able songwriters, who knows what the future might hold? we might even be recognised as a band in our own right?

Only time will tell.
